After a hectic week of assignments and presentations ( that has left me voiceless now ), my weekends redeemed it all =)
Saturday was spent with Yo,PeiYei and Ban.
Everyone has been raving about 27dresses.. so we decided to catch it ourselves.. Tried booking night before.. but places were taken.. so we tried our luck buying the tickets that day itself..
Thankfully there were seats left for the 2 30pm show! But only the very front seats were available, and the seats for Booked Session will only open in 3 mins! We pleaded the receptionist (dunno if thats the right word haha. counterist?) to let us wait... so ya she gave in to our pleads and said " Ok lar.. we pretend saja la" So talked to her, asking her reviews on other movies to act busy haha, 3 mins were up real fast! And we got the tickets for perfect seats! =)
27 dresses is about this girl who has been a bridesmaid for 27 weddings. She's the girl that never says no to anyone.. of cause things change as expected... really loved the show, especially the part when she was changing into all 27 bridesmaid dresses and told every story behind it..
This was the funniest Dress. It was for the LA wedding.. and she wasn kinda too tall for her dress, so she hid behind the bride in every pic.. haha.
James Mardsen the multitalented- singer,actor,superhero was the lead guy actor in 27 Dresses. This girl seating next to me kept saying " He's sooo cute!! " to her boyfriend. Don't think the bf enjoyed the show much haha.
Overall great show!! Its funny and dramaish at the same time.. A must watch!! =)
Sunday
Lil Cute Jasmin is currently super busy working even on her birthday ...
So we decided to give her a belated suprise ;)
With her mummy secretly co-planning with us, it has been decided that Sunday evening would be the best time for the surprise to kick in.
So yesterday right after church, a all clad in orange Beatrice came to my place to bake Jas's birthday cake. I've tried making Marble Choc Cheesecake, but Fatboy's recipe seems enticing, so thought of giving it a try.
The guys Elwin and Tommy were supposed to come help bake, but the time Elwin came, the batter was in the oven ... tsk tsk. Tommy could only join us later...

So hopped we did into Beatrice's car to Starbucks to get her fav Chocolate Chip Frapp. Wei-I was winding down BEat's window, at the passenger seat, and suddenly realised it couldn't go up again! And sometimes you wonder, why it rains like cats and dogs during most inappropriate times. Lucky thing there were only me and Wei-I at the back so we sat to the farthest right to avoid the rain splashing in.. .
Jas's mum called and said she'll be back before 5 30pm, so we went to her house and hid in it... while Elwin was going to tape a big plastic bag over the unadjustable window pane.. As we were in hiding behind the kichen walls with the cake, suddenly Elwin dashed back!
" Oh noooo! She's back!! I think she saw me carrying an umbrella outside her house "
we were still very positive " Maybe she didn't see you lehh " . So we were back into our hiding mode ... and it was very strange, though Jas was back in the house, she went upstairs.. her mum said maybe she was looking for us there.. haha.. her brother Jon was also very excited about the whole plan, as he hurried to the living room, and gave us our bags, which we forgot to hide in time hehe.
Soon we heard footsteps nearing the kitchen.. and Jasmin's petite figure soon appeared. " Surprised! we shouted.. but she wasn't really surprised..

Aiya.. pengsan... But still her mum managed to convince her to come home early saying their going out for dinner at 6pm, which is a lil too early for them usually haha.

The night was still young, so we went out for dinner. It was raining crazily, so eating nearby was our only choice... so we headed to the overpriced yet everybody still visits - Ipoh Old Town..
